Richard and his team - including newest recruit Shuck the dog - have been delivering quality thatching in Norfolk for over 25 years. As members of the National Society of Master Thatchers, and having worked with the Broads Authority and the National Trust, we can guarantee that we go the extra mile to make sure clients are completely satisfied with our work.

HOW WE CAN HELP
At Broadland Thatchers, we're able to cater for all of your thatching needs. From complete re-thatching, to re-ridging, plus new-build thatching and roof timber and structure repairs - we can provide a complete service to make your roof as good as new.
FIRE BARRIER
Fire Barrier is installed above the rafters just below the thatch. It protects the building and can also reduce insurance premiums.

VELUX INSTALLATION
We can install Velux windows into any thatch, and even include bespoke lead flashing kits so your roof is 100% water-tight.
REPAIR WORK
We can also help with repairs to thatch which may have become slightly aged, or even leaky, causing distress to you and your family.

RE-RIDGE WORK
We do all re-ridge work using Norfolk sedge sourced from our local Norfolk sedge-cutters.
Re-ridge work usually takes place every 15-20 years.
Good thatch does not require frequent maintenance, so re-ridging is required only a few times during the lifespan of the thatch.
SUMMER HOUSES
We are currently taking on smaller jobs such as summer houses, hot tub covers, wood storage sheds, smaller outer buildings etc.
